J-school quick reminder

Day 21

I don’t have a lot of time today for blogs and such as I have a week and a half to be ready to move out and no fun I tell ya. No fun! But, seeing that Mark set up his J-school tutorial session and I just happened to receive a very poignant email regarding spelling, I thought I would share.

I know, it’s just blogging! No need for spelling or correct grammar and phooey on all you writer types. Nag, nag, nag all you do and it’s “just” a blog. Well, of course I disagree and this third grader will look different on his work when he is older. Yes, it’s a child’s work and no I don’t expect children to be precise and accurate in every word they use and I laughed very hard when I read it. But I thought it was a good point to all adults and young adults how important spelling can be. So enjoy, get a good laugh and make sure to put the extra “s” in horse if you ever write about them!

That’s brilliant. It was a bad idea for me to read this in class because I’m trying so hard to stifle my laughter right now. Because laughing right now would sound like I’m laughing at a quadriplegic. Which isn’t funny. Good luck with your packing and moving, Tom!!!

  2. Erin Kathleen

Lol, thanks for making me spit coffee all over my keyboard with this, Tom. “Hores like carrots”, I always thought they liked money, but but whatever. “Hores make you feel good” well, that is what they get paid for. “My dad wants a hores but my mom says no” , I bet!
Good luck with your move. Hopefully it goes smoothly and you get settled in really quick:)

Jen- Yes laughing at a handicap person not so good! Packing sucks!

Julia- glad you got a laugh who can’t use a good laugh!

Erin- Don’t leave out he’s going to buy his own hores when he’s 16 or 20! He’s waisting no time getting hores…

  4. iliveforthis

Tom- Hope moving is going well for you, it definitely sucks. Also, that was probably one of the best pieces of writing I’ve ever seen. My roommate was an elementary teacher and she got a letter that was supposed to say “thank you for being me teacher” but they got their b backwards and their ‘e’ looked like an ‘o’ so… well, ya know.

  5. rockymountainway

Jane- He should be writing soon very soon!

Emily- Well there are some of “those” teachers in the system..not funny but I laugh anyway.
